CARY, N.C. – The Clemson Tigers complete their run in the ITA Regionals after two hard-fought battles in the doubles quarterfinals.
“Regionals was a positive experience for our team and we took good steps forward in many areas. We have a quick turn around for some strong competition against University of Florida, UCF, and Miami this upcoming weekend,” Head Coach Brandon Wagner. “Our guys are looking forward to taking the positives from this weekend and gearing up for the tests against these schools in a few days. This is a great building block for our guys and we are grateful for these opportunities.”
In the quarterfinals, the duo of Stewart Aronson and Spencer Whitaker battled hard as they brought their match against North Carolina State’s Joseph Wayand and Marti Borisiouk to extra sets but the North Carolina State pairing ultimately won the tiebreaker (8(7)-7-(5)).
Marko Mesarovic and Matt Pitts competed against the Wake Forest pairing of Harry Thursfield and Luca Pow. The two duo’s battled back-and-forth but the Deacons won the match 8-6.

Up next, the Clemson Tigers will head to Gainesville, Fla. for the UF Hidden Dual starting October 27th. The dual will mark the last tournament of the fall season for the Tigers.
