BLACKSBURG, Va. – The Penn State women’s tennis team competed in the fourth day of the ITA Atlantic Regionals. Sofiya Chekhlystova and Oliva Dorner were the only Nittany Lions to participate in match play on the day. They competed in the quarterfinal and semifinal rounds of main draw doubles.
QUARTERFINAL AND SEMIFINAL ROUNDS OF MAIN DRAW DOUBLES
Chekhlystova and Dorner defeated Momoko Nagato and Michaela Kucharova of West Virginia 8-6. The pair advanced on to the semifinal round of main draw doubles and competed against Adel-Byanu Abidullina and Eliza Askarova of Delaware. Chekhlystova and Dorner lost their semifinal match 6-3, 6-1.
