CARY, N.C. – Mississippi State women’s tennis kicked off the pre-qualifying round of the ITA All-American Championships.
Qualifying for the ITA All-American Championships will begin on Monday and the main draw starts on Wednesday. No. 52 Emmanouela Antonaki received a bye during the pre-qualifying rounds.
Gia Cohen was the only Bulldog to take part in the pre-qualifying round of the ITA All-American tournament. Cohen fell to No. 98 Kimmi Hance of UCLA 6-4, 6-3.
Antonaki and Cohen will participate in the doubles portion of the tournament, which starts on Monday.
The ITA All-American Championships is the second tournament State has participated in this fall. For Cohen and Antonaki, this is the first tournament of the fall they have participated in.
