Blue Devils to Close Fall Action at NC State Invitational


DURHAM – The Duke women’s tennis team will close the fall slate this weekend as the Blue Devils compete in the NC State Invitational Nov. 4-5 in Raleigh, N.C.  

Duke will face Ole Miss and South Carolina on Saturday, followed by matches against NC State and Wake Forest on Sunday.  The Blue Devils open action both days at 2 p.m.

Seeing action for Duke this weekend will be graduate student Iuliia Bryzgalova, graduate student Brianna Shvets, sophomore Katie Codd and sophomore Elle Christensen.  Bryzgalova and Shvets will be paired together, while Codd and Christensen will team up.  

Teams will be made up of two players (a doubles) team for the weekend.  Matches will be a six-game set for doubles with a five-minute warmup followed by a two out of three-set singles match, third sets will be played out.
