Box Score MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin women’s tennis team continued its homestead run with a 6-1 dual match victory over No. 61 Penn State on Friday night.
After winning the doubles point, the No. 44 Badgers (14-7, 6-2 Big Ten) rallied with three singles victories to claim a 6-1 dual match win over the Nittany Lions (10-10, 4-4 B1G).
Charmaine Seah set the tone for Friday’s match, earning the Badgers’ first singles point with a win over Penn State’s Yvonne Zuffova 6-3, 6-1.
Standing out for the UW was sophomore Alina Mukhortova. Mukhortova helped earn two points for Wisconsin, clinching the doubles point 6-3 and defeating Gabby O’Gorman of Penn State 7-6(3), 6-2.
Ava Markham clinched the win for the Badgers after her match was forced into three sets.
