TUSCALOOSA, Ala. The Alabama Tennis Stadium will serve as the host site for The Tusca Bama Cup Tournament this weekend. The tournament begins at 8 a.m. CT on Saturday followed by a 9 a.m. start on Sunday. Monday’s start time is still to be announced.
The Tournament
- The Tusca Bama Cup is a University Tennis College Circuit open event presented by the Tuscaloosa Tennis Center at The University of Alabama
- This will be the second year for the Tusca Bama Cup
- The Women’s Division has 32-player draws with each singles match set for best 2-out-of-3 sets, including a 10-point tiebreaker played in lieu of a third set
- The Tide will have five players competing in the tournament, each opening with a first round bye
- Alabama participants include Petra Sedlackova, Anna Parkhomenko, Loudmilla Bencheikh, Klara Milicevic and Ola Pitak
- Sedlackova, Parkhomenko and Bencheik will play their first set of matches Saturday at 11:30 a.m.
- The opening matches for Milicevic and Pitak are scheduled to start at 1:15 p.m.
