CLEMSON, S.C – Women’s Tennis (7-4, 0-2 ACC) is set to host Virginia Tech (6-3) for the first ACC home match of the 2024 campaign. This will be the 35th meeting between the two programs, with the Tigers leading the series 26-8. The Tigers last beat Virginia Tech in 2023, where Clemson came out on top, 4-3.
The match is slated for 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 1, at the Duckworth Family Tennis Facility.
“Last year, this team had two battles with Virginia Tech,” head coach Boomer Saia said. “We are excited to be back at home, and we are looking forward to another battle with the Hokies!”
Clemson is coming off of a hard-fought 4-3 loss against Boston College. Jenna Thompson and Leigh Van Zyl shined in their singles wins against the Eagles.
The match will be free for all to attend, and there will be live scoring and a live stream available. These can be accessed via the links provided above. There will also be 100 t-shirts available for those in attendance.
