The match was originally scheduled for Saturday, but moved up due to inclement weather in the forecast. The Cardinal moved to 3-0 with the result, which was its seventh consecutive 7-0 scoreline against UC Davis.
Stanford secured the doubles point, with each court finishing in numerical order. Connie Ma and Alexandra Yepifanova won on court one, 6-2, while Alexis Blokhina and Valencia Xu did the same shortly after by the same score on court two. Ana Geller and India Houghton finished it out with a 6-4 win on court three.
The Cardinal rolled in singles, which opened with freshman Eleana Yu making her dual debut with a 6-0, 6-1 victory on court five. Connie Ma followed with a 6-1, 6-0 win on court two and India Houghton clinched with another 6-0, 6-1 win on court six.
The remaining matches played out and featured victories by Valencia Xu on court four (6-0, 6-2), Alexandra Yepifanova on court one (6-2, 6-4) and Alexis Blokhina on court three (6-2, 2-6, 10-3).
The Cardinal is back in action at home next weekend when it hosts ITA Kickoff Weekend. Stanford opens with Colorado on Friday, Jan. 26.
