North Carolina and NC State Set for ACC Women's Tennis Championship


DURHAM, N.C. – North Carolina and NC State will face off in the 2023 Atlantic Coast Conference Women’s Tennis Championship on Sunday. First serve is set for 10 a.m. at the Cary Tennis Park. The match will be broadcast on ACC Network Extra.

The No. 1 Tar Heels posted their 20th-straight indoor victory over No. 4 Virginia with a 4-0 sweep of the Cavaliers at the Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center at Duke University. UNC’s Carson Tanguilig clinched the match on Court 3 with a 6-3, 6-3 victory over Annabelle Xu.

NC State’s 5-0 victory over No. 7 Georgia Tech advances them to their first ACC Championship in program history. The No. 3 Wolfpack clinched the match at the Cone-Kenfield Indoor Courts at the University of North Carolina with No. 29 Amelia Rajecki’s win over No. 87 Mahak Jain, 7-6 (7-2), 6-3.

Sunday’s championship match is slated for 10 a.m. at the Cary Tennis Park and will broadcast live on ACC Network Extra.

 

Sunday tickets are priced at $10 for adults (ages 18 and older; children under 9 and ACC students get in free with school ID) and $7 for youth ages 17 and under. Tickets may be purchased online at https://www.etix.com/ticket/v/11254. All seating for the tournament is General Admission.
