FORT WORTH, Tex. – The Wisconsin women’s tennis team travels to TCU to compete in the Jae Foundation Fall Open running from Thursday, Oct. 31 to Sunday, Nov. 3.
Here are five things to know:
1. THE OPEN : The open is being hosted at the Bayard H. Friedman tennis center. The tournament features twelve schools that qualified for the NCAA tournament last season. The tournament is named after the Jae Foundation, to learn more about the foundation click here https://jaefoundation.com/.
2. THE FIELD: Competing alongside No. 30 Wisconsin is No. 1 Texas A&M, No. 19 Oklahoma, No. 27 Texas Tech, No. 28 LSU, No. 32 Notre Dame, No. 34 SMU, No. 35 Baylor, No. 37 Northwestern, No. 38 BYU, No. 39 Arizona, No. 40 Illinois, No. 50 Maryland, No. 59 Rice, No. 60 Kansas, Missouri, and Cincinnati.
3. LAST TIME OUT: The Wisconsin women’s tennis team competed at the ITA Midwest Regional Championships hosted by Ohio State on Oct. 10-15.
Representing the Badgers were Ellison Reynoldson, Maya Bordereau, Tianna Rangan, Maria Sholokhova, Alina Mukhortova, Ariel Johnson, and Taylor Cataldi. Alina Mukhortova and Maria Sholokova claimed the doubles title and an NCAA Tournament bid.
4.LINEUP: Competing in the open are, Kaja Jacobson, Alina Mukhortova, Ellison Reynoldson, Tianna Rangan.
5. UP NEXT: Women’s Tennis will also compete in the Torero Tennis Classic at San Diego, California from Friday, Nov 1. to Sunday, Nov 3.
