BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – One hundred ninety-five University of Missouri student-athletes were named to the 2024 SEC Spring Academic Honor Roll and the 2023-24 SEC First-Year Honor Roll, SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey announced Wednesday.
A total of 103 Tigers earned Spring Academic Honor Roll accolades – which includes the sports of baseball, men’s and women’s golf, softball, tennis and track & field. It marked the fourth-straight year that Mizzou has had more than 100 qualify for the honor.
Additionally, 92 Mizzou student-athletes were featured on the first-year honor roll.
Any student-athlete who participates in an SEC championship sport is eligible for nomination. Criteria for selection includes a 3.00 cumulative grade point average or a 3.0 for the preceding academic year. Athletes must have completed 24 semester hours of academic credit towards a degree at the nominating institution. First year student-athletes in all sports may be named to the Honor Roll at the conclusion of their first full academic year in residence (spring, fall, and summer terms).
