Men’s Tennis | September 20, 2024

LOS ANGELES – USC men’s tennis kicks off the ITA portion of the fall schedule as two Trojans take part in the annual ITA All-American Championship tournament starting Saturday, Sept. 21 through Sunday, Sept. 29 in Tulsa, Okla.

Seniors Peter Makk and Karl Lee will be representing the Cardinal and Gold as they take the courts for the first time this season. For Makk, this will be his third time competing in Tulsa. He will look to improve on his performance last year when he reached the round of 16, a team-best for the Trojans. Makk has an automatic qualification into the main draw as the No. 38th ranked singles player in the ITA rankings. The main draw will begin Wednesday, Sept. 25. Lee will make his ITA All-American debut this year. The Trojan veteran will see his first action of the season in the qualification rounds starting Monday, September 23.

The prize has never been bigger at the ITA All-American Championships, as the NCAA debuts its fall individual championship schedule for the first time this season.

The 2024 ITA Men’s All-American Championships will have a draw size of the following, Singles: Pre-Qualifying (128), Qualifying (64), Main Draw (64). From this, ten singles players (10) will qualify for the inaugural fall NCAA Singles Championship (eight main draw quarter-finalists & two feed-in consolation finalists).

The action will begin on Saturday, September 21 and run through Sunday, September 29. To follow along with the results, visit the ITA website here.
