Terrapins To Host Minnesota and Wisconsin to Close Out Regular Season

COLLEGE PARK, MD.- The University of Maryland women’s tennis team will return to action in College Park to face Minnesota on Friday and Wisconsin on Sunday to close out Maryland’s regular season schedule. The Terps will honor their seniors on Sunday’s match against Wisconsin. 

The Terrapins were ranked at #58 for ITA’s team rankings this week and are 14-9 on the season. The team features Selma Cadar who is ranked #70 in singles and No. 1 doubles pair Minorka Miranda and Maria Budin who are ranked #61. 

In their most recent match, the Terps defeated George Mason 4-0 on Saturday, April 13. 

Minnesota most recently lost to Michigan at home 6-1.

Wisconsin most recently defeated Michigan State 4-0. The Badgers were ranked at #29 for ITA’s team rankings and feature Maria Sholokhova who is ranked #80 in singles. 

The Terps boast a 10-1 record at home and are currently on a three match win streak. 

Both Cadar in singles and Miranda/ Budin in doubles passed the 20 win mark for 2023-2024 the past weekend.
