This marks the first time since March 2020 that the Orange have landed in the top 25 and the program’s highest position since February 2019 when Syracuse was ranked 10th nationally.

‘Cuse continued its winning ways with a 4-3 victory over Florida State on Feb. 24, followed by an upset win against No. 23 Miami on Feb. 26. Despite losing the doubles point against the Hurricanes, Syracuse rallied in singles. Zeynep Erman propelled the Orange into the lead with a 6-4, 6-3 victory over the No. 8 ranked singles player, Alexa Noel, and the Orange secured the 5-2 victory against the Hurricanes.
The Orange (9-0, 3-0 ACC) look to stay undefeated this weekend during a three-match homestand against No. 15 Virginia (7-3, 1-1 ACC), Coppin State (0-7), and Virginia Tech (8-3, 0-2 ACC). Syracuse faces the Cavaliers at 3 p.m. on Friday at Drumlins Country Club, followed by an 11:00 a.m. match against the Eagles on Saturday. The squad closes out the weekend and two weeks at home against the Hokies at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday.
Eight opponents are in the top 30 nationally: No. 1 North Carolina (March 26), No. 4 NC State (March 31), No. 11 Duke (March 24), No. 14 Notre Dame (April 14), No. 15 Virginia (March 3), No. 19 Georgia Tech (March 19), No. 29 Wake Forest (April 2), No. 30 Miami (W, 5-2).
