Tennis Terps Win Fifth Match, Beating Dartmouth


HANOVER, N.H. – The University of Maryland women’s tennis team (5-1) won their fifth match of the season 6-1 over Dartmouth (2-2) on Sunday at the Boss Tennis Center.

The Terps won the doubles point with victories on courts 1 and 2. Mary Brumfield and Selma Cadar won first, 6-3 over Hess/Okpara. Minorka Miranda and Marta Perez Mur finished second with a 6-4 victory over Hess/Weber.

“Happy to come away with a road with against a good Dartmouth team,” said head coach Katie Dougherty. “One doubles got us off to a quick start and two doubles did a nice job closing it out for the doubles point. Marta did a great job getting the second point on the board for us quick. Singles was a good battle, we did well to come away with five singles wins.”
