World No.1 and top seed Iga Swiatek has been handed a tricky draw at Wimbledon.
The five-time major champion, who has not played a match since winning Roland-Garros, will face former Grand Slam champion and Roland-Garros finalist Sofia Kenin in the first round.
The Pole, who reached a career best quarterfinal last year at the All England Club, could face former Wimbledon champion Angelique Kerber or Katerina Siniakova in the third round and – if the seeds hold – is slated to face Jelena Ostapenko in the round of 16.
Swiatek owns a career record of 9-4 at Wimbledon.

Also lurking in the 23-year-old’s half of the draw is 2022 champion Elena Rybakina, while Aryna Sabalenka, the No.3 seed, has been drawn into second-seeded Coco Gauff’s half of the draw.
Rybakina will face Romania’s Elena Gabriela Ruse in the first round; Sabalenka will face American Emina Bektas.
Notable first-round matches on the women’s side include:
[11] Danielle Collins vs Clara Tauson

[13] Jelena Ostapenko vs Ajla Tomljanovic
[32] Katie Boulter vs Tatjana Maria
[22] Ekaterina Alexandrova vs Emma Raducanu
Paula Badosa vs Karolina Muchova
If the seeds held, the quarterifinals would shape up as follows:
