LOS ANGELES – The No. 9 USC men’s tennis team is headed to the Grand Canyon state this weekend to kick off Pac-12 play against ASU on Friday and Arizona on Sunday. Friday the Trojans will face Arizona State at 6 p.m. pacific time in Tempe before traveling to Tucson for a Sunday 1 p.m. pacific time match against the No. 18 ranked Wildcats.
USC (10-5) has been battled tested throughout the spring, defeating heavyweights such as No. 15 Florida, No. 13 Georgia and No. 12 North Carolina while also defeating crosstown rival UCLA twice. Most recently the Trojans faced No. 1 TCU and No. 3 Texas, putting up a battle but eventually falling to both opponents on the road.
With a travel heavy slate this season, the Trojans have only been home once since January, and won’t return home until Friday, April 14.

TROJANS IN THE ITA RANKINGS:
In the ITA’s latest team rankings, USC checked in at No. 9, a one-spot improvement from their previous mark of tenth.
USC boasts three Trojans in the national singles rankings with sophomore Peter Makk leading Troy at No. 26. Trojan senior Stefan Dostanic locked in the No. 32 ranking while Bradley Frye claimed the No. 124 spot.
USC also boasts the No. 21 ranked doubles pair in Stefan Dostanic and Bradley Frye.
NOTABLE:
- USC’s Peter Makk has clinched four matches for the Trojans, coming in clutch against Sacramento State, Vanderbilt, UNC and UCLA.
- The Trojans have a travel heavy slate this spring, with only nine total home matches scheduled, including two ITA Kickoff Weekend matches.
- USC welcomed two mid-season additions in UCLA transfer Karl Lee and freshman Learner Tien.
- So far this season, the Trojans have faced nine top-25 ranked opponents, winning four of those matches (#24 Vanderbilt, #15 Florida, #13 Georgia, #12 UNC).
- The Trojans have remained in the top-15 since the start of 2023.
SCOUTING ARIZONA STATE:
