No. 25 Wisconsin sweeps Michigan State

MADISON, Wis. –  The No. 25 Wisconsin women’s tennis team grabs a 4-0 Senior Day win today, April 14.

With this win, head coach Kelcy McKenna has earned her 100th win at Wisconsin.

With the sun shining, the Badgers breezed through doubles, securing the point. Rosie Garcia Gross and Taylor Cataldi were dominant in the two spot, shutting out the Spartans 6-0.

All Badgers won their respective first sets, with Garcia Gross and Alina Mukhortova claiming come-from-behind wins. Maria Sholokhova claimed her 14th-straight win in two 6-2 sets. Playing until the clinching point, Cataldi was the deciding factor picking up scores of 6-1 and 7-5.

Ariel Johnson retired Stasny: 6-4, 4-5

Rosie Garcia Gross retired Canard: 6-4, 5-3

The Badgers will travel to the east coast to face Rutgers on Saturday, April 20 at noon, and No. 52 Maryland on Sunday, April 21 at 11:00 a.m. to close out regular season play.
