No. 22 Dawgs To Host Gonzaga, Begin Long Home Stretch


SEATTLE – The Washington women’s tennis team (3-0) picked up two wins in as many matches during their stint in Hawaii last week, boosting them up two spots in the ITA rankings to No. 22.
 
The Huskies will host Gonzaga on Saturday, Jan. 27 at 1 p.m. at Nordstrom Tennis Center. Follow along with live stats here.
 
Washington will be at home for the next month starting with Saturday’s in-state matchup. Next weekend the Dawgs will host Boise State on Friday, Feb. 2 and Baylor on Sunday, Feb. 4 before hosting ITA National Team Indoors Feb. 9-12 at Nordstrom Tennis Center.
 
THE COMPETITION – GONZAGA
 
Gonzaga is 2-1 on the 2024 season, securing back-to-back 5-2 wins over Georgetown and Montana to start the year. The Zags fell most recently to Cal Poly 6-1 on Jan. 21.
 
Washington last faced the Zags at the Gonzaga Invitational during the fall of the 2021-22 season.
