Molinaro Selected to 2024 SEC Community Service Team

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Tennessee senior Eleonora Molinaro was named to the 2024 Women’s Tennis SEC Community Service Team, the conference announced on Wednesday afternoon. This is the second consecutive year she earned the distinction.

The 14th Lady Volunteer—21st occurrence—to earn this outstanding achievement, Molinaro is the sixth multiple-time designee in program history.

The senior registered 53 service hours this year, ranging from work at the East Tennessee Children’s Hospital to Lonsdale Elementary. Furthermore, the native of Luxembourg City, Luxembourg, has spent time working with the East Tennessee Children’s Hospital, Knox County Schools, Tennessee’s Dean of Students office and various Little Smokey’s Clinics throughout the season. In total, Molinaro has logged 135 service hours during her four-year career.

“Eleonora has a selfless heart and is someone who will always offer to help in any given situation,” head coach Alison Ojeda said. “I’m really proud of her continued commitment to improving lives around her and am very thankful that she’s a Lady Vol.”

On top of her time working with numerous local organizations and bettering the community, she was also a part of the 2022 VOLeadership Academy trip to Rwanda. While in Rwanda, Molinaro help engage with the area and locals partly through community service projects. Another major part of the trip involves connecting with the people and using sport as a channel of communication and interconnectedness that unites people from across the globe.
