UCLA took part in the rain-interrupted Sherwood Collegiate Club at Sherwood Country Club in its final action before the start of dual-match play. Alexander Hoogmartens and Aadarsh Tripathi notched wins versus nationally-ranked opponents, as did the doubles team of Hoogmartens and Patrick Zahraj. The field also featured participants from then-No. 9 USC and No. 23 Texas A&M.

UCLA VS. HAWAI’I, PEPPERDINE

UCLA’s all-time record versus Hawai’i improved to 8-0 after the Bruins swept a doubleheader at Los Angeles Tennis Center in 2022 (April 12). The Rainbow Warriors seized the doubles point in the opener, but UCLA charged back to prevail by a 4-2 score. The Bruins never looked back en route to a 5-0 win in the second match. Pepperdine logged a 4-1 victory at Ralphs Straus Tennis Center during the 2022 campaign (Feb. 25), cutting UCLA’s advantage in the series to 53-17. Patrick Zahraj defeated No. 49 Pietro Fellin for the Bruins’ lone point of the day.
