The Vols took a 4-1 decision over Oklahoma in the ITA Kickoff Weekend final to advance to their fourth consecutive ITA National Team Indoor Championship. Angel Diaz clinched the match for the Big Orange, routing the Sooners’ Mark Mandlik, 7-6(5), 6-3, at the No. 6 spot.

SCOUTING TCU
Sunday marks the 11th all-time meeting between the Vols and Horned Frogs. Holding a 7-3 all-time advantage over TCU, Tennessee won the first five matches of the series, which dates to 1983, and has won two of the past four.

The most recent meeting between the two squads came last season, with TCU emerging with a 4-1 win in Knoxville. In 2022, the Vols traveled to Fort Worth and defeated the Horned Frogs, 4-3, in a nearly five-hour affair.

TCU is off to a 3-0 start in 2024, sweeping Abilene Christian, Rice and Tulsa. Third-ranked Jack Pinnington, playing at the No. 2 spot this season, earned All-Big 12 Second Team honors after accumulating a 9-3 singles record, six vs. ranked opponents, in 2023. No. 14 Pedro Vives, reigning Big 12 Freshman of the Year, posted a 17-6 record last season, playing primarily at No. 5 and 6.
