SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah men’s tennis squad is prepared to begin the fall season after coming out of a successful spring slate. After going undefeated for nearly half the season and having a near-perfect home match record, the Utes are ready to start preparing for the spring.

The Utes will compete in a handful of tournaments, with Utah hosting two events. The Utes will host an event at the end of Sept. and the end of Oct.

The Utah men will attend the ITA Bedford Cup in the Mountains from Sept. 23-25, hosted by the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo., to open their fall slate.

Besides the ITA Bedford Cup in the Mountains, Utah will take place in the ITA All-American (Oct. 1-10) in Tulsa, Okla., and ITA Mountain Regionals (Oct. 13-17) in Albuquerque, N.M., and the ITA Fall National Championships (Nov. 4-7) in San Diego, Calif.

The Utes’ first home tournament will be from Sept. 30 to Oct. 2, when they are hosting the Utah Invitational #1. Utah will send athletes to the Dar Walters Invitational in Boise, Idaho, during the same time frame.

Opening the month of Oct., the Utes will be on the road for the Bengal Invitational from Oct. 7-9 in Pocatello, Idaho. Utah returns home for the Utah Invite #2 on Oct. 21-23. The Utah Invitational #1 and Utah Invite #2 will be held at the George S. Eccles Tennis Center.

Utah will compete in the Easley Memorial Classic hosted by UNLV on Nov. 4-6. The last fall tournament will be the LMU Invitational in Los Angeles from Nov. 11-13.

Espin Busleiman came in ranked No. 71 in singles, while Capalbo was ranked No. 83 in the preseason poll.
