University of Washington student-athletes continued to succeed in the classroom in the fall, achieving a department-wide 3.39 GPA, which matches the highest mark over the past year.
 
For the first time since 2020 and third time in 20 years, all 22 teams earned GPAs of 3.0 or higher.
 
Highlights of Autumn Quarter:

  • Overall department GPA: 3.39
  • 210 student-athletes made Dean’s List (3.50+ quarter GPA in 12+ numerically graded credits)
  • 463 student-athletes earned a 3.0 or better (81%)
  • 28 student-athletes earned a perfect 4.0 GPA 
  • 14 teams earned a 3.40 GPA or higher (Women’s Basketball, Beach Volleyball, Men’s Cross Country, Women’s Cross Country, Women’s Golf, Gymnastics, Women’s Soccer, Men’s Tennis, Women’s Tennis, Men’s Track & Field – Outdoor, Women’s Track & Field – Outdoor, Women’s Track & Field – Indoor, Men’s Track & Field – Indoor, Volleyball)
  • Women’s Tennis led all teams with a 3.73 team GPA
  • Small team high GPAs (less than 20 student-athletes): Women’s Tennis and Men’s Tennis
  • Large team high GPAs (20+ student-athletes): Women’s Soccer, Men’s Track & Field – Outdoor
  • Most improved teams from Spring 2023: Women’s Soccer, Men’s Basketball
