Senior Alicia Dudeney will play alongside fellow Florida veteran Bente Spee in the doubles round of 32. The two currently hold a 2-1 record after competing in Chapel Hill last weekend.

CARY, N.C.– A select number of Gators will play at the 2024 ITA All-American Championships in Cary, N.C. The highly competitive tournament has three stages; pre-qualifying, qualifying, and main draw. Florida will have representation in all categories.
Pre-qualifying doubles will begin on Saturday, Sept. 21 with a field of 32. Florida’s Bente Spee and Alicia Dudeney were selected to compete and will face off against Kennedy Gibbs and Na Dong from Baylor. Gibbs and Dong are currently ranked No. 76, and are well known in the Big 12 Conference for their double’s success. The matchup is set to begin at 4 p.m.
Spee and Dudeney are coming off a 2-1 weekend at the Kitty Harrison Invitational (Sept. 13-15). The duo found success in their initial matches defeating Old Dominion and Duke. Their first victory of the 2024-25 season was over No. 77 ranked Sophia Johnson and Lidiia Rasskouskaia. The Gators defeated Old Dominion 6-4 and followed up with another 6-4 win over Duke’s Emma Jackson and Shavit Kimchi.
Bente Spee and Alicia Dudeney’s sole loss was against North Carolina, the 2023 NCAA champions. The Florida duo fell to Carson Tanguilig and Susana Maltby in an all-out battle with a final score of 7-6(2).
