It’s going to be a happening weekend in Blacksburg, as Virginia Tech Athletics hosts Hokie Hi: Weekend at Home, featuring numerous events scattered around its athletics village.

Get ready for the big weekend by reading below.

1. PMSI Spring Game

Virginia Tech football’s annual spring game takes place on Saturday at Lane Stadium at 3 p.m. ET and the format for how the game will take place has been announced. In lieu of charging tickets for the contest, the athletics department is encouraging fans to support Virginia Tech’s NIL initiatives.

Fans can enter the Triumph Spring Sweepstakes for a chance to win multiple prizes, including a VIP trip to the season opener versus Vanderbilt in Nashville, Tennessee. Those looking for a bid-based prize experience can participate in The Hokie Way Auction for a wide variety of collector’s items, destination packages and more. Be sure to get involved before the Monday, April 15 deadline.

2. Parking & More

Parking will be available in the lots surrounding Lane Stadium. Lot 1 and Lot 4 are restricted to those with a parking pass, while Lot 3 will be limited to ADA parking only. After 1 p.m., any spaces in lot 1 will be made available to the general public. Beamer Way will close to traffic at 8:15 a.m. and will remain closed until the conclusion of the game. Gates to Lane Stadium open at 1 p.m. and there is a clear-bag policy. Visit Hokie Hi Weekend Central for FAQs, parking maps and more.

3. Enjoy the Pregame Festivities
There is a lot happening in Blacksburg ahead of the football game on Saturday, and we want you to be equipped to take part in it all.

Run in Remembrance

Start your Saturday on campus as the 3.2-mile Run in Remembrance will begin with a moment of silence at 9 a.m. to honor and remember the vibrant lives of the 32 students and faculty who were tragically taken from us in 2007. The event’s 3.2-mile loop around the Blacksburg campus begins in front of Patton Hall and passes landmarks such as the Grove, Lane Stadium, and the Virginia Tech Pylons, ending at the April 16 Memorial. Registration is still open for this year’s 3.2-mile Run in Remembrance.

Hokie Village

Located on the turf soccer/lacrosse practice field off Beamer Way, the complimentary event begins at 11:30 a.m. and concludes at 2:15 p.m. Fans can enjoy food trucks and drinks available for purchase. Free activities include live music from the Jared Stout Band along with inflatables, tailgate games and food…
