TULSA, OKLA.—University of North Carolina graduate students Brian Cernoch and Ryan Seggerman advanced to the doubles final of the ITA All-American Championship with a straight-set win on Saturday. The Tar Heel duo beat Florida’s Tanapatt Nirundorn and Togan Tokac by a score of 7-5, 6-4.
Cernoch and Seggerman have gelled quickly in Tulsa in their first tournament as a doubles team after Seggerman joined the Carolina program in the summer of 2022 as a graduate transfer from Princeton.
They now advance and will play Toby Samuel and Connor Thomson of South Carolina in the championship match on Sunday at 11 a.m. Eastern.
Cernoch and Seggerman will be making Carolina’s fourth appearance in the ITA All-American Championship doubles final (2005, 2015, 2017, 2022).
