Cardinals Head to Hoosier Classic


LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The University of Louisville women’s tennis team opens their fall season with a trip to Bloomington for the Hoosier Invitational Sept. 23-25.
 
The Cardinals will be competing in a flighted tournament that features with Xavier, Purdue, MTSU, NKY and host IU.

Play begins on Friday morning with the draw yet to be announced.

 

UofL is led by the doubles partners of Andrea Di Palma and Tatiana Simova, who put up an 11-3 mark last year.  Also back is fifth year senior Rhea Verma along with sophomore Tyra Richardson, who battled her way into the starting lineup and won six singles matches. The Cards’ roster is bolstered by transfer Cici Xin, who comes to the Ville from Central Arkansas. There she had 12 singles wins and went 22-5 in doubles at No. 1.  Maria Campos is another transfer. She comes to the Cardinals from Colorado where she won 11 singles matches and eight doubles matches.
