THE FLATS – Georgia Tech’s Carol Lee and Kylie Bilchev represented women’s tennis in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association’s individual rankings released on Wednesday. Both are ranked in the top 50 nationally.

The ITA released the first singles and doubles rankings of the spring season today, highlighting the Top 125 singles players across the country. Lee broke into the top 10, coming in at No. 7, marking the highest singles ranking of her collegiate career. Lee owns a 13-4 singles record this season, including a 4-0 mark in dual matches, and is 9-4 overall in doubles. Lee closed out last season at No. 24 in the final ITA singles rankings, picked up all-ACC first team honors and earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Singles Championship.

Joining Lee in the national rankings is Bilchev, who rose to No. 47 after her successful start to the dual season. The reigning ACC Player of the Week after defeating two ranked singles players, Bilchev is 11-4 overall in singles play and 4-0 in dual matches. She has partnered with teammate Alejandra Cruz to post an 11-3 record in doubles, including a 3-1 mark in dual play. Bilchev capped last season ranked No. 98 in the final poll, collected all-ACC third team recognition and earned ITA All-American status in doubles.

Georgia Tech returns to action on Saturday, Feb. 18 welcoming Gonzaga to the Ken Byers Tennis Complex. First serve is slated for noon.
