The 21st Pac-12 Singles Player of the Year in program history, Basavareddy is Stanford’s second winner in a row after Arthur Fery earned the award last season. Stanford’s six total honorees co-leads the conference.
In addition to winning Pac-12 Singles Player of the Year, Basavareddy was selected to the All-Pac-12 first team. The honor is the second in his career, as the sophomore was named to the second team in 2023. Basavareddy is a No. 9-16 seed overall in the NCAA Singles Tournament and the automatic qualifier from the Pac-12. The Carmel, Indiana native is 12-1 on the season, with all 12 wins coming in the top singles position. Basavareddy is 7-0 against Pac-12 foes and 7-1 against ranked competition and has been ranked as high as No. 6 this season.
Banerjee earns his second consecutive nod to the All-Pac-12 first team, adding onto his Freshman of the Season accolade from 2023. He holds a 14-9 record, including an 8-6 dual mark with three wins in the top position. Ranked as high as No. 29 this season, he holds four wins over Pac-12 foes and five victories against ranked competition. Banerjee also plays as a successful doubles partner with Basavareddy, with the duo going 8-4 in dual play this season.
Tallying his third All-Pac-12 honor in a row, Basing has been named to the All-Pac-12 second team for the second time in his career, joining his award in 2022, alongside his first team honor in 2023. The junior has earned all-conference recognition in each of his collegiate seasons, and he holds a 12-6 record in 2024 with a 6-2 mark against Pac-12 competition. Ranked as high as No. 20 in the preseason, Basing also forms a top-50 doubles pair nationally with Godsick, going 8-2 together.
Kang, the ITA’s top-ranked newcomer in the country entering the campaign, earns his first-career All-Pac-12 honor with a second team nod as a freshman. The Fullerton, California native holds a 12-4 overall singles record, including a 10-3 dual mark and a 5-1 record over Pac-12 opponents. Kang has been ranked as high as No. 92 nationally this season, and he has five doubles wins on the season.
