CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – After two days of competition at the 2023 ITA Carolina Regional Championships, three Tar Heel singles players have advanced to the semifinals while two doubles duos will represent North Carolina in the finals.
In singles play, Reese Brantmeier, Abbey Forbes and Anika Yarlagadda each picked up a victory in their third round matchups to cement their place in the semifinals for their respective brackets.
In two separate doubles brackets, Elizabeth Scotty and Brantmeier defeated NC State’s Gina Dittmann and Maddy Zampardo while Reilly Tran and Abbey Forbes recorded a victory over Duke’s Elizabeth Coleman and Emma Jackson to clinch a spot in the title match.
Sunday’s matches are set to begin tomorrow morning at 10 a.m. at North Carolina’s Chewning Tennis Center.
