Futures give bettors great odds on events and series that haven’t happened yet. Futures Friday is a chance for a BetFTW writer to share their favorite futures bets to consider each week.
For leagues in the regular season, futures include bets on things like title winners, conference and division winners and even awards like MVP, Coach of the Year and Rookie of the Year. Once the playoffs begin, series props come into play, like which teams advance, how many games each series will go and more.
Below are the three futures to consider this week, with odds from DraftKings.

All the momentum is on the side of the Arizona Diamondbacks rookie after his walk-off double Thursday against the Rockies. He’s the betting favorite, and while there’s obviously still time for someone like Elly De La Cruz to make a case, no other NL rookie has been consistently bringing the different tools to the lineup Corbin has for the D-Backs.

Corbin Carroll’s current full-season pace.
100 R, 26 HR, 68 RBI, 45 SB, .287/.372/.516, 10.6% BB, 19.9% K
There have only been three rookies ever to go 25/25.
Julio Rodriguez (2022) 28/25
Mike Trout (2012) 30/49

Yeah, Milwaukee currently holds first place in the NL Central. But Milwaukee also has a -26 run differential despite being two games over .500. This team is far from elite, and there’s a good chance it slips out of first in a division I’m guessing just one team makes the playoffs.
Djokovic isn’t really a long-shot here as a two-time champion with several more finals appearances, but his odds are second to Carlos Alcaraz, who potentially has a tougher path to the finals. I’ll take the extra value on a legend with 22 major titles, including this year’s Australian Open.
