ORLANDO, FLA.—Two University of North Carolina men’s tennis doubles teams lost their opening matches in the 2023 NCAA Doubles Championship on Wednesday at the USTA National Campus. Both matches originally were scheduled for Tuesday but delayed by inclement weather.
Pepperdine’s Daniel De Jonge and Tim Zeitvogel defeated UNC graduate student Brian Cernoch and freshman Benjamin Kittay by a score of 6-2, 7-5.
Later on Wednesday, Central Florida’s Lleyton Cronje and Bogdan Pavel beat Tar Heels Ryan Seggerman and Casey Kania, 6-4, 7-6 (4).
