SEATTLE – For the second week in a row, the Huskies go their separate ways. Four Dawgs will be competing in the ITA West Sectionals event hosted by Pepperdine in Malibu. Another four Huskies are heading to Spokane for the Gonzaga Fall Invitational.

Sectionals will give players one more chance to qualify for this month’s NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships. Senior Cesar Bouchelaghem is already qualified for the Huskies in singles, he’ll be teaming with Dzianis Zharyn this week looking to also make the cut in doubles. Zharyn, Nedim Suko, and Soham Purohit will all be in the 32-player singles draw.

The Pepperdine Sectional is one of four events around the country this week, all running from Nov. 7-10, with the same size fields. All four sites will produce six NCAA singles qualifiers (four semifinalists, two quarterfinal playoff winners). And three doubles teams will advance (finalists and third-place). The ITA Mountain, Northwest, and Southwest Regions are all grouped within the Malibu Sectional.

Play starts at 10 a.m. each day with doubles, followed by singles. It will be one round each day until Sunday which features semis and finals.

At Gonzaga, Brett Pearson, Ivan Sodan, Rohan Belday and Nikola Plavsic will all compete from Friday-Sunday.
