MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Tennessee men’s tennis team enjoyed a wealth of player success on Saturday afternoon at the MTSU Outdoor Tennis Complex as representatives did not lose a match in singles or doubles play against MTSU and Tennessee Tech.
In singles play, each individual won in straight sets, as Shunsuke Mitsui, Alejandro Moreno, Jose Garcia, Alan Jesudason, Ian Cruz and Lance Nisbet secured wins for the day.
Doubles action saw similar results, with pairings of Mitsui/Jesudason, Moreno/Cruz and Garcia/Nisbet gaining wins. For Garcia and Nisbet, this is their first win in doubles for their Tennessee careers.
For the competition to date, Tennessee has earned 11 singles wins and five doubles wins. The Vols will conclude action tomorrow against representatives from Indiana at 11:00 a.m. E.T.
