Women’s Tennis Sweeps Gonzaga For 4-0 Start To Season

The Husky women’s tennis team (4-0) swept Gonzaga 7-0 Saturday afternoon for the third sweep so far this season.

Washington started out the afternoon with success on the doubles courts, with No. 2 and No. 3 doubles only giving up one game each and no need to finish the match on court 1.

All six singles came out strong and snatched their first sets. Erika Matsuda clinched the fourth point for the Huskies on No. 1 singles with a big 6-1, 6-1 win.

The Dawgs are home for two matches next weekend with Boise State coming to Nordstrom Tennis Center on Friday, Feb. 2 and Baylor on Sunday, Feb. 4.
