Women’s Tennis Ready for Weekend Matches – Women's Tennis — Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets

THE FLATS – The Georgia Tech women’s tennis team returns to the courts with a pair of matches this weekend. The Yellow Jackets play their only home match of the month on Saturday, welcoming Gonzaga before visiting in-state rival Georgia on Sunday.

SCOUTING TECH – The Yellow Jackets return to action following a nearly two-week break in play to host non-conference opponent Gonzaga on Saturday. Riding a three-match win streak, Tech is most recently coming off a pair of road wins at Illinois and Northwestern. After collecting a pair of ranked singles wins in Illinois, Kylie Bilchev was tabbed the ACC Player of the Week on Feb. 7. Tech has played only one dual match at home this season, sweeping cross-town rival, Georgia State, 7-0.

SCOUTING GONZAGA – The Zags bring a 3-3 record into Saturday’s match, having dropped three of the last four outings. Most recently, the Zags dropped a 4-2 decision to Colorado at home. Tiegan Aitken and Cate Broerman pace Gonzaga each with 12 singles wins on the season. Gonzaga seeks its first road win of the season, currently owning an 0-2 record when competing away from home.

SCOUTING GEORGIA – The ITA National Team Indoors runners-up, Georgia climbed to No. 3 in the latest ITA team polls released this week. The Lady Bulldogs defeated three teams handedly to reach the championship match of ITA Indoors before falling, 4-0, to North Carolina. Sophomore Dasha Vidmanova earned SEC Athlete of the Week after going 3-0 in the tournament.
