Columbia, S.C. – South Carolina women’s tennis continues its non-conference slate on Friday, hosting No. 23 Georgia Tech at the Carolina Tennis Center at noon.
The Carolina Tennis Center is located at 1318 Heyward St. Parking will be available in the Key Road lot and a free shuttle will be provided. The shuttle will run every 30 minutes and will drop off at the front of the athletic village. Fans can also use street parking at meters along nearby streets and must pay meters through the Passport Parking app when applicable.

Gamecock Notables
- South Carolina has started its season 3-1 with wins over Coastal Carolina, Presbyterian, and Arizona. The team’s only loss comes at the hands of then-No. 4 Georgia.
- Graduate Ayana Akli leads the team from the top of the singles lineup. The nation’s No. 6 player is 16-4 overall this season and is on a six-match win streak with two of the wins in that streak over Top-35 opponents – both in straight sets.
- 4 Sarah Hamner holds down the second spot in the singles lineup. The junior is 15-5 overall this season with an 11-4 record against ranked opponents.
- 73 Shahar Biran plays on the third court for South Carolina. The graduate transfer has six singles wins as a Gamecock with two of them over ranked players.
- In doubles, Akli and partner Olympe Lancelot have been a consistent No. 1 for the team. The duo is 3-0 in dual play and 6-0 overall when paired together. They are coming off of a 6-1 upset over the nation’s No. 15 ranked pair.
- Hamner and partner Misa Malkin have been lining up at the No. 2 doubles position together this season. They’re 4-2 overall and 2-1 in dual action.
Scouting the Yellow Jackets
- 23 Georgia Tech is 2-2 so far on the season with a 4-3 win over then-No. 24 Wisconsin and a sweep of Georgia State. Their two losses came in a 0-4 shutout at UCF and another 0-4 shutout at No. 11 Virginia.
- Tech has two players in the ITA Singles Rankings – No. 107 Carol Lee and No. 123 Kylie Bilchev.
- Lee has led the team from the top of the lineup this season where she is 2-0. She is 8-7 overall and has two ranked wins on the season.
- Bilchev has been Georgia Tech’s No. 2 player this season where she is 1-2. She is 8-8 overall and also has two ranked singles wins this season.
