Women’s Tennis Gains First Win of the Season Against Saint Francis

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State women’s tennis team (1-3, 0-0) won its first home match of the season against St. Francis (1-4, 0-0), 5-2.
The Nittany Lions struck first by taking the doubles point. Karly Friedland and Olivia Dorner defeated Diana Zuba and Valeria Vinces, 6-0.
Yvonne Zuffova and Deanna Lasorda fell in their match to Kally Kadsinski and Kelly Dowuona, 6-2.
To clinch the point, Sofiya Chekhlystova and Alina Lebedeva won their match against Reagen Mangan and Sara Jankovic, 6-2.
Alina Lebedeva easily won her match against Kally Kadsinski, 6-0, 6-0. At the No. 2 position, Sofiya Chekhlystova excelled versus Reagen Mangan, 6-1, 6-1. 
Olivia Dorner clinched the match for the Blue and White with her win against Diana Zuba, 6-1, 6-4.
Yvonne Zuffova continued the winning mentality by grabbing her match against Sara Jankovic, 6-2, 7-6 (7-2).
