Women’s Tennis Finishes Time at Sea Pines College Tournament

ATHENS, Ga. – After three days of competition, Ole Miss women’s tennis heads home from the Sea Pines College Tournament hosted in Athens, Georgia. The final day of competition consisted of one round of singles matches.

During the last round of singles, Lillian Gabrielsen led the Rebels with a comeback victory against Old Dominion’s Shahar Biran. Gabrielsen fell in the first set 2-6, but never wavered again as she came back to dominate the next two sets, 6-0, 6-2, to finish her fall season debut with a win.

Kelsey Mize and Reka Zadori both competed in Sunday’s singles competition for Ole Miss – both competing against Georgia Bulldogs. Mize went up against Mai Nirundorn but was defeated in two sets (1-6, 1-6). Zadori faced off with Guillermina Grant but also fell in two sets (1-6, 2-6).

The Rebels now look to prepare for the ITA South Region Championships (Oct. 13-18) at Baton Rouge, Louisiana to continue their fall season.
