Women’s Tennis Earns Tenth Straight ITA All-Academic Team Honors – University of South Carolina Athletics

Columbia, S.C. – ­South Carolina’s women’s tennis team was recognized as an All-Academic Team by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) for the tenth consecutive season this year.

To be named an All-Academic Team, a program must have a team grade point average of 3.2 or above, all student-athletes must be included on institutional eligibility form, and all varsity letter winners should be factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year.

The women’s tennis team posted a 3.57 semester during the fall and increased the team GPA to 3.69 for the spring semester. Along with their strong GPA performance, the entire team also made the AD Honor Roll during both Fall and Spring semesters.

In addition to the team’s All-Academic honors, rising junior Sarah Hamner was also named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, her second consecutive year of earning the accolade.

To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, one must have a GPA of at least 3.5 and be listed on the institutional eligibility form.
