Women's Tennis adds transfer, Bordereau, for 2024-25

MADISON, Wis. — The Wisconsin women’s tennis team bolstered their roster by adding incoming sophomore, Maya Bordereau for the 2024-25 season.

Bordereau hails from Annecy, France, and enjoyed a successful freshman season at West Virginia this past year. After joining the Mountaineers in January, Bordereau won seven of her first nine singles matches, working her way up from the No. 5 spot to the No. 2 spot.

The freshman accumulated an impressive doubles record, finishing 12-5 in all her doubles matches. This includes wins over conference opponents No. 56 Kansas, and No. 44 BYU. She went 7-0 in all doubles matches in the No. 3 position.

Bordereau joins a Wisconsin team coming off one of their most memorable seasons, making the NCAA tournament for a second consecutive year, and setting a program-record with 13 consecutive wins. With Bordereau, the Badgers look to continue their success with a mostly unchanged core of players.
