Wolfpack Completes First Fall Weekend at Wahoowa Invitational

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Four members of the NC State women’s tennis team completed their first fall weekend of the 2022-2023 season at the Wahoowa Invitational hosted by Virginia. Nell Miller, Amelia Rajecki, Sophie Abrams and Gina Dittmann all competed in Charlottesville Va., each making their season debut for the Wolfpack.

Abrams led the pack by winning a pair of singles contests, and both doubles pairs picked up two victories on the weekend. Rajecki and Miller picked up a ranked win over No. 40 Hibah Shaikh and Melodie Collard, and Rajecki, who played two ranked opponents in singles, also beat No. 94 Safiya Carrington. NC State will come back close to home Sept. 22-25 to host the College Ranked Spotlight at the Cary Tennis Park. This will be the second consecutive year that the Pack will host the Wolfpack Invitational/Ranked Spotlight. More information relating to the format of the competition and the field of teams will be announced later in the week.
