Maria Sakkari tuned up for New York’s urban jungle taking a purple haze power trip on desert dirt.
Now, purple haze power hits the US Open.
World No. 3 Sakkari stars in Wilson’s new Ultra v4 racquet campaign alongside Cincinnati champion Borna Coric and Ajla Tomljanovic.
Wilson, which has been official ball of the US Open for more than four decades, launched its new Ultra v4 in a series of new ads unveiled at the US Open and online.
The theme of the new Ultra campaign is “Pure Beauty and Ruthless Power” and shows all three Wilson ambassadors wielding the racquet in desert conditions.
Wilson fans and racquet heads will immediately notice the new cosmetic transforming the former “ocean blue” stick to a new “purple haze” color. The top bumper guard is black.

“I’ve played and trained with Wilson racquets for many years, and I’m excited to use the new Ultra v4 on the biggest stage in tennis at the US Open,” said Wilson Advisory Staff member Sakkari said. “Wilson consistently delivers the power I need, but also the style and light-weight feel that complements my game.”
