Wildcats to Host First Two Rounds of NCAA Championships

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Arizona Men’s Tennis will host the first two rounds of the NCAA Tennis Championships, marking the second time in program history that the Wildcats have hosted a regional of the tournament. Match days and times will be announced when they are confirmed by the NCAA at a later time.

The Wildcats are the ninth-seeded team in the tournament and will face 2024 Mountain West Champions Boise State in the first round. With a first-round win the Cats will advance to face the winner of Pepperdine versus Auburn in the second round. Tickets will be available to purchase on-site for $5 each; no advance sales will be taking place.

The matchup with Boise State marks the second consecutive season in which Arizona has opened NCAA Championships play against the Broncos. The Cats defeated the Broncos 4-0 in the first round of the 2023 tournament.

Arizona enters the tournament as the Pac-12 Tournament and Regular Season Champions. The Cats’ regular-season title was their third in as many years, and the tournament title was the first in program history. The NCAA Championships bid is the fifth under head coach Clancy Shields, who led the squad to its first two Sweet 16 berths in 2021 and 2023.

ArizonaWildcats.com will announce any additional postseason information for this week’s matches as it is available.
