PALOS VERDES, Calif. – Parker Fry and Reece Carter put up an impressive performance in their last fall matches at the Jack Kramer Collegiate Classic. Arizona made an appearance in the quarterfinals of both doubles and singles play. 

Sophomore Fry advanced to the singles quarterfinals after securing two straight set sweeps against University of Oregon and Fresno State. She defeated Madisen Olsen 6-1, 6-0 in the initial round of 32 and then took down Yinglak Jittakoat [5] 6-1 6-1 before being knocked out by first-seeded Eryn Cayetano (USC). In only her second appearance at the Southern California tournament, this was the furthest Fry has gone. 

Freshman Carter won her first match against Milena Gevorgyan (Fullerton) in straight sets 6-1, 6-4, but lost to UCLA’s Alexandra Vagramov 6-2, 6-1 in the second round. In doubles play, Carter/Fry defeated Natalie Duffy and Diana Yanotovskaya 8-4 (Fullerton) in round one then dropped an 8-3 loss against second-seeded Carolyn Campana and Bunyawi Thamchaiwat (Pepp). 

Fry finishes with a fall singles record of 4-2 and 1-4 in doubles play while Carter wraps up with an even 3-3 in singles and 2-3 in doubles.
