Vols Wrap Up Day One of MTSU Hidden Dual

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Representatives of the Tennessee men’s tennis team tallied five singles wins and two doubles victories on Friday at the MTSU Hidden Dual, hosted at the MTSU Outdoor Tennis Complex.
 
UT earned four of their five singles wins from newcomers, as Alejandro Moreno, Jose Garcia, Alan Jesudason and Ian Cruz helped lead the way for the Vols on the first day of competition. Shunsuke Mitsui continued his impressive streak of singles performances, defeating Vanderbilt’s Jack Ingram 6-1, 6-3.
 
In doubles play, the Big Orange tallied their two wins via Mitsui and Jesudason defeating the Commodores’ Jack Ingram and Paul Wang, 6-1, with Moreno and Cruz beating Lipscomb’s Giovanni Ciocca and Facundo Perlov, 6-2.
