BATON ROUGE, La. – Representatives of the Tennessee men’s tennis team enjoyed a wealth of success over the weekend during the LSU Invitational, hosted at the LSU Tennis Complex.
During the course of competition, the Vols earned a total of 14 combined wins in singles and doubles play. Of those 14 victories, three came against top-100 foes. UT also displayed a dominant overall showing on Sunday, posting a 5-0 record to wrap up play.
Shunsuke Mitsui, Alejandro Moreno and Alan Jesudason were the standouts for the Big Orange, each securing four wins apiece. The duo of Moreno and Jesudason both tallied undefeated records in their singles matches over the weekend.
Sophomore James Newton tallied three victories of his own, followed by two wins for Ian Cruz and one for Jose Garcia.
