Virginia Women's Tennis | ITA Atlantic Regionals Begin Thursday

LYNCHBURG, Va. –  Members of the Virginia women’s tennis team will be competing at the ITA Atlantic Regional Oct. 19-23 at the Liberty Tennis Complex in Lynchburg, Va.

Players from 25 teams will be competing in singles and doubles with the winners of each qualifying for the 2023 ITA Fall National Championships, being held Nov. 1-5 at the Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego, Calif.

Nicole Kiefer begins play on Thursday in singles qualifying. Sixteen players will advance out of qualifying into the main draw.

Sara Ziodato is the top seed in the singles main draw while Natasha Subhash is the 3-seed. Blanca Pico Navarro, Melodie Collard, Hibah Shaikh, and Annabelle Xu will also be competing in the singles main draw.

Xu and Collard are the top seed in the doubles draw while Subhash and Shaikh are seeded third. Kiefer and Pico Navarro and Ziodato and Meggie Navarro will also compete in the doubles draw.

Thursday October 19th:
Rounds of 64 and 32 qualifying for singles

Friday October 20th:
Round of 64 doubles
Round of 64 and 32 singles

Saturday October 21st:
Round of 32 and 16 doubles
Round of 16 singles

Sunday October 22nd:
Quarterfinals and Semifinals doubles
Round of 16 singles, consolation matches

Monday October 23rd:
Finals of doubles
Semifinals and Finals of singles
