CARY, N.C. — Célia-Belle Mohr won her first-round singles match in the main draw of the ITA All-American Championship as Vanderbilt women’s tennis continued competition at the tournament on Wednesday.
The sophomore lost the first set, but dropped only two games the rest of the way to defeat a top-40 foe from fellow SEC member Florida. She returned in the afternoon with Anessa Lee, but the two were eliminated from the main doubles draw after falling in a tiebreaker in the second set to the No. 24 pairing in the country.
Mohr’s next singles match is set to begin at 8 a.m. CT Thursday at Cary Tennis Park.
